Albert B. Schwartz Jr.

Albert B. “Buddy” Schwartz Jr. of the Town of Greenville, N.Y. passed away on July 9, 2026, in Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 85.

The son of the late Albert and Edith Schwartz, he was born on July 24, 1940, in Middletown, New York.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a former member of the Howells Fire Department in Howells, N.Y.

He was a retired truck driver for Howard Express in Newburgh, N.Y.

Buddy enjoyed hunting and fishing and working out in his vegetable garden and garage. He enjoyed tending to his chickens in the backyard and collecting the eggs they produced.

He was the widower of Jean Schwartz.

Survivors include his son Randy Schwartz of West Valley, N.Y. His five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren six step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Kari Roosa and his son Kevin Schwartz and his former wife Diane Schwartz. His brother John Schwartz and Robert Schwartz and his sister Ilona Dallow.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday July 16, 2026 from 4-7 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, New York.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Wallkill Cemetery, 160 Midway Road, Middletown, N.Y. 10940.
