Ashley M. Garcia

Ashley Marie Garcia, 35, of Chester, New York, passed away on January 20, 2026.

Ashley was born in Queens, New York, a twin, to Carol Garcia and the late Ramon Garcia. At birth, Ashley experienced severe complications that resulted in lifelong disabilities. She was nonverbal and bedridden throughout her life, and her care and presence profoundly shaped the lives of those who loved her. Though she could not speak, Ashley communicated through her spirit, her expressions, and the deep bonds she shared with her family.

Ashley attended the Center for Discovery, where she graduated high school and received care and support that enriched her life. She was a source of strength, love, and unity for her family, reminding all who knew her of the power of compassion, patience, and unconditional love.

Ashley is survived by her loving mother, Carol Garcia; her siblings, in order of age, AnnMarie Woods, Jimmy Marino, Andrea Hamlet, her twin brother, Ramon Garcia and extended immediate family on her father’s side. She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon Garcia.

A wake will be held on Friday, January 23, at 5:30 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 7:00 P.M. at Echo Grace Church, located at 2839 US Route 94, Washingtonville, NY.

Burial services will take place on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 A.M. at Chester Cemetery, Chester, New York.

Ashley will be remembered for the quiet but profound impact she had on her family’s lives and for the love that surrounded her every day.
