Bernard Luck M.D.

Bernard P. Luck, M.D., of Goshen, N.Y. a retired Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Orange County, N.Y. passed away on May 15, 2026. He was 89.

The son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Luck, he was born on December 29,1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Luck was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Captain during the Vietnam War.

He started his medical practice on Park Avenue in Manhattan and later drove up to Orange County where he fell in love with the Sugar Loaf area and started a life here for over forty years where he delivered babies and practiced Medicine. Dr. Luck served as the volunteer Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of the Hudson Valley for over twenty years. He was also a Philanthropic donor to many organizations in the Orange County area. Nothing made him happier than loving and raising his children. That love carried over to his patients and those under his care.

Survivors include his wife Louise Valle Luck. His children Patricia Blanco, Peter Luck (Alexandra), Lauren Luck, Melissa Abraham (Jeffrey) and Nicole Heckman (Dr. Jason Heckman). He is also survived by his grandchildren and his brother Dr. Leon Luck.

He was preceded in death by his sister Sheila Luck.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday May 18, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery 111 Craigville Road Goshen, N.Y.
