Carolyn M. Elwood of Middletown, N.Y. passed away on June 26, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh. She was 82.
The daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Illenberg, she was born on November 1, 1942 in Goshen, N.Y.
She was a former employee of Tesa Tape in the Town of Wallkill.
She was the widow of Harry Elwood.
Survivors include her children Cheryl Spears and Ann-Marie Elwood. Her sister Cathie Illenberg and her brothers Robert Illenberg, Neil Illenberg and Bruce Illenberg. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at 11 A.M. in the Chester Cemetery (Upper Level) in Chester, N.Y.
