Deborah A. Reynolds of Middletown, N.Y. passed away on August 18, 2026, at her home. She was 71.

The daughter of John A. Reynolds and Dorothy Talnose, she was born on January 12, 1955, in New Haven, Connecticut.

Deborah, only months old, survived the flood waters caused by Hurricane Connie and Hurricane Diane in 1955 and was rescued by her mother Dorothy Talnose from flooding waters

My mother had many wonderful memories of growing up in West Haven CT and enjoying her favorite beach, Savin Rock. She also had many memories enjoying the old historic Savin Rock Amusement Park.

She loved all animals and worked for a humane society taking care of cats for many years. She also regularly volunteered seasonal bell ringing for the Salvation Army for many years. She thoroughly cared for the wonderful aides from the agency Caring Connections and they became her family, strength and they were always there for her.

She received amazing care from staff at Fresenius Dialysis in Middletown NY alongside many dialysis friends.

She lived comfortably at Southeast Towers for many years surrounded by wonderful neighbors and staff.

Survivors include her children Joseph Reynolds of Middletown and Feenie McLaren of Michigan. Her brothers Michael Reynolds of Melbourne, Florida and Richard Leahy of Vermont. She is also survived by her former companion Ernest Thompson and her grandson Joseph Kerrigan as well as several nieces and nephews.
