Ella McGinnis Reynolds, 94, of Jacksonville, FL formerly of Middletown, NY, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2026.

Ella McGinnis was born on October 23, 1931 in Warwick, NY to Arthur McGinnis and Catherine Simpson McGinnis.

She was predeceased by her husband William Reynolds, children William Reynolds, Debra Reynolds and Arthur Reynolds, grandchildren Timothy Reynolds and Christopher Brucato, and siblings Arthur McGinnis, Pierson McGinnis, Richard McGinnis, Lena Dolson, Margaret Hasbrouck, David McGinnis, and Ann McGinnis.

She is survived by her children Rudolph Reynolds, Kennetha Botera, Annette Gillis, Sandra Reynolds, Janet Brown, Joan Bennett, Michael Reynolds, Timothy Reynolds, stepson Butchie Reynolds, and sisters Mabel Ross, Mary Boone, Catherine Robinson and Janet Williams.

Ella was a grandmother of 29, great-grandmother of 33, and great-great-grandmother of 15.

Ella enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo and scratch-offs.

She was a big sports fan, especially tennis which she watched and followed closely. She also enjoyed the NBA and NFL, she knew the players, their teams, and the details of the sport. She was an avid Miami Dolphin fan!

Ella was well known for her excellent cooking, especially her chili. It was one of those family favorites that brought everyone together.

Ella enjoyed country music, her favorites being Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles, and Charlie Pride. Their music brought her comfort and happiness.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Jacksonville for their love and support.

The funeral will be held at Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY 10940 with visitation hours on Saturday September 12, 2026 from Noon-1 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 1 P.M.

Burial immediately following at Hillside Cemetery

Ella will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

She truly was an angel on earth and left her family with a world of love.
