Frances Grosso

Frances Grosso of Middletown, N.Y., a former bookkeeper and longtime resident of the area, passed away on December 26, 2025 at her home. She was 103.

The daughter of the late John and Katherine Carvino she was bon on May 15, 1922.

Frances was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to experience many things in life. Everyone commented positively on her smile, She was devoted to St. Anthony and the Sacred Heart.

Survivors include her children Vivien Lyons; Carol Mele; Michael Grosso (Dorene) and John Grosso (Regina). Her grandchildren Katherine, Vivien, Michael, Maegen, Theresa, Rory, John-Paul and Connor. She is also survived by her ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday January 2, 2026 from 4-7 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, N.Y.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 3, 2026 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Euclid Ave. Middletown, N.Y.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
