Harriet R. Blose

Harriet R. Blose of Westtown, NY, age 88, passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 21, 2023, after a brief illness at Garnet Health Medical Center. Harriet is predeceased by her husband, Richard Blose, of 63 years, and her parents, Clarence and Frances Facey. She is survived by her children, Andrew Blose and his wife Joanne; Roberta Briggs and her husband Robert; Randy Blose and his wife Maria; and six grandchildren: Brittany, Ashlynn, Nicholas, Alexander, Derek, and Matthew.

Harriet was born in Buzzards Bay, MA, on May 7, 1935. She worked as a High School English teacher in Pennsylvania and later as an educator with Orange and Ulster County BOCES after moving with her husband to the Middletown, NY, area. Harriet also served as a teacher and then Director of Head Start. She loved quilting, the NY Yankees, and spending summers at Cape Cod with her family.
