Joan Lesley Bowe, (nee Murphy) January 9, 1938 – June 16, 2026

Our beautiful mother, (Lesley, Murph, Mrs. B, Nana, Barracuda) passed away in her home surrounded by her family. She is at peace.

Lesley was born in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Marguerite Murphy. She enjoyed her career at GM and was married to the love of her life Howie, for 52 years. They lived in Inwood, NY before moving to Monroe, NY to raise their family.

She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marguerite Murphy, and her husband Howie.

She is survived by her 5 children: Howie Bowe and Joanna, Lynn Blackman and Bruce, Lesley Forman and Steve, Lisa Bowe and Laureen Barnes and Rich. Her most favorite people, who got to call her nana, Adam and Ian Forman, Ryan and Tyler Barnes and Danielle Barnes Hurley, Alex, Lila and Tim Bowe. She was thrilled to meet her great-granddaughters, Emma Grace and Addie Mae Hurley, who she enjoyed many video calls with! Her sisters Helene and Anne, and her brother Paul. Many wonderful nieces and nephews!

While she battled Parkinsons Disease, she was blessed to have the most amazing and caring aides from First Choice Seniors, and the nurses and staff from Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, they are our angels on earth!

Visitation hours will be held on Monday June 22, 2026 from 1-5 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, N.Y.
