Joan Rhinesmith

Joan M. Rhinesmith a former nurses aide and a lifelong resident of the area, died on September 15, 2017 at her home. She was 63. The daughter of the late John and Bertha Gibson Space, she was born on May 22, 1954 in Warwick, New York. Survivors include her husband Timothy Rhinesmith at home. Her son Jason Sawicki and his wife Nicole of New Jersey. Her brothers John Space of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and Paul Space of PA. her sisters Barbara Walek of New Jersey; Pam Space of Rockland County and Melissa Vardon of Virginia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday September 19, 2017 from 4-7 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
