Joseph Lierni

Joseph A. Lierni Greenwood Lake, New York Joseph A. Lierni of Greenwood Lake, retired laborer with the N.Y. City Parks Department and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on December 7, 2019 in Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J. He was 82. The son of the late Samuel and Phyllis Sayer Lierni, he was born on December 6, 1937 in New York City. He worked as a dispatcher for the Tuxedo Park Police Department. Survivors include his wife Marie Lierni at home. His children Rose Angela Lierni and her husband Joseph Alu of Garfield, N.J. Kenneth Lierni and his wife Maria of Mahwah, N.J. and Joseph Lierni Jr. of Old Forge, N.Y. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jacqueline and Kenneth Lierni and his nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday December 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 13, 2019 at 10 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Burial will be in the Warwick Cemetery Warwick, New York.
