Larry Wayne DeGroat Jr. of Middletown, a chef for Mil-Mar in Goshen, N.Y. and a lifelong resident of the area, died on September 1, 2017 in Middletown. He was 55. The son of Larry and Helen Hunter DeGroat, he was born on July 5, 1962 in Goshen, N.Y. Survivors include his daughters Natasha DeGroat; Ashley DeGroat and Jasmine DeGroat. His grandchildren Jayvon; Alan and Kyaire. His brothers Hanford DeGroat and Donald DeGroat and his nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
