Lynne Mitchell Ellis

Lynne Mitchell Ellis of Newburgh NY passed away on December 23, 2024 in Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in NY, after a long battle cancer. Lynne was 66 and was born on June 8 1958, in Queens NY. 

The daughter of Huxley and Audrey Mitchell previously deceased. Lynne had completed a successful career as a Social Worker, retiring from the Middletown School District in 2022.

Lynne is survived by: her daughter Devyn Smith, Devyn’s husband Marvin Smith, Lynne’s sister, Victoria Anderson, Victoria’s husband Richard Anderson, Lynne’s Brother, Dennis Mitchell, Dennis’ wife Akiyo Mitchell and three grandchildren, Evie Smith age 9, Carter James Smith age 7 and Kaiden Smith age 2. Lynne Mitchell Ellis was loved and will be missed by a host of family and friends. 

Visitation hours will be held on Monday December 30, 2024 from 2-4 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Ave. Middletown, N.Y. with a Service to follow at 4 P.M.
