Nancy Jo Jones

Nancy Jo Jones of Mineral Virginia, a former longtime resident of the area, passed away on October 13, 2026 at home. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Peter and Alpharetta Rasmussen, she was born on August 31, 1937 in Middletown, New York.

Nancy Jo was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served from 1957-1959. She was retired from the Middletown Psychiatric Center.

She was the widow of Hallie E.R. Jones who passed away in 1994.

Survivors include her daughters Tracy Jones-Gessner and her husband Scott of Virginia and Karen Lundell of Wisconsin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday October 21, 2026 from 4-7 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, N.Y.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday October 22, 2026 at 11 AM at the Wallkill Cemetery 160 Midway Road Middletown, N.Y.
