January 12, 1955 – August 23, 2026

Nathan Edward Jones 71, known by many as Cokey , a Yonkers, New York, native and a long time Middletown resident returned home on August 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Nathan faced cancer the same way he lived his life—with incredible strength, determination, and on his own terms. Choosing to refuse chemotherapy, he fought courageously until his final days, showing a strength that will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Born January 12, 1955, Nathan was an entrepreneur of his upholstery and carpet cleaning business. A professional painter, contractor, golf caddy and talented handyman boxer and kickboxer that enjoyed fishing, hunting, professional fighting, laughing with family and friends, and sharing the wisdom he gained through his experiences through life.

Above all, Nathan was a loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his laughter, his strength, and the love and guidance he gave his family and loved ones.

Nathan is survived by his daughter, Natika Love Jones, his grandchildren: Micheye Trumpet Jones, Adam Boria Jr. His brothers David Jones, Timmy Jones, sister, Helen Vernice Jones Skinner. His children in spirit Stephen and Tiffany McKinley, and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bettie Morrissey, Nathan Jones Sr., and his brothers Micheal Armstrong and Stephen Jones.

Cancer may have ended Nathan’s journey, but it never defeated his spirit. His strength, love, lessons, and memories will live on through everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

His hands may finally be at rest, but his legacy will live on forever Long live the King Nathan Cokey Jones.
