Omar Augustus Taylor , 35 a resident of Monroe, NY went home with God's angels on July 2, 2022. Omar was born on June 11, 1987 in Jamaica, West Indies to mother Loraine Evelyn Farley and his deceased father Egerton Augustus Taylor. Omar moved to Mount Vernon, New York at the tender age of 4. He attended Graham Elementary School, Franko Middle School, and graduated from Mount Vernon High School.Omar was a part of the drama club at Mount Vernon High School were he helped write and perform several plays. Omar also attended SUNY Purchase College in Westchester, New York where he studied performing arts on a full scholarship for performance art. Omar was a great writer and performer of contemporary rap music. He is fondly known to his family and friends as Traks. He would always be found with a microphone in his hand and headphones listening to music. He produced his own music. He worked as a construction worker for some time. Omar is survived by his mother Rev Loraine Farley, sister Luani Valz, brother Tino Taylor, son Josiah Taylor, niece Sanaa Barrett and Evelyn Taylor, nephew Ivan Taylor, grandmother Megan Farley, countless Uncles and Aunts, and numerous cousins, friends, and the church family of Bethany Fellowship. Omar enjoyed walking the family dog Marley Farley, cooking, and discussing current events. Omar was a very loving, kind, and funny.
Visitation and Services will be held on Saturday July 9, 2022 from 1-4P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh 2815 Route 207 Campbell Hall, N.Y.
