Paul Edward Garnere

Paul Edward Garnere, 73, longtime resident of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 at Garnet Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

Paul was born on July 11, 1952 in Middletown, NY. He graduated from Middletown High School. Paul furthered his education at Orange County Community College, where he received his nursing degree. He retired from Mid-Hudson Forensic Center Psychotherapy Center as a registered nurse after more than twenty years of service.

Paul enjoyed tennis, pickleball, bike riding, and photography.

Paul leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Laurie; daughters, Kara Linn Garnere, Dr. Kassandra Garnere, Krystal Garnere of Middletown, NY, and Lacey Dippilito of California; sons, Dane Ganere of Montgomery, NY and Jarae Hunter Sr of California. Grandchildren, Avery, Arlinn, Cristian, Jiovanni, Jaylen, Raymond, Leah, Sienna, and Jarae, Jr. Brothers, Anthony Garnere of Port Jervis, NY, Richard Garnere and Willie Martin Jr of Middletown, NY, and Mark Martin of Utica, NY. Sisters, Estelle Jones and Tonya Stewart of New Jersey, Sandra Martin and Lynn Martin of Middletown, NY, Patricia Marigault of Albany, NY, and Ellen Patterson of Rembert, SC. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and a host of extended family and friends. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Willie Martin Sr, and father Joseph Garner; sisters, Stephanie Garnere, Connie Crawford, and Barbara Martin; brothers, James Martin, Edward Martin, and Joseph Garnere 3rd; and grandson Hayden Dippilito.

Service will be held on January 30, 2026 at Greater Upper Room Apostolic Faith Church, 1 Linden Ave., Middletown, NY. Visitation will be held from 10am - 12pm, service will begin at 12pm.
