Rosie Pittman

Rosie Lee Pittman a long-time resident of Middletown N.Y. passed away on January 14, 2026 at Garnet Health

Medical Center, at the age of 84. 

She retired from Valley View Center Nursing Care as a Nurse’s Assistant. She

loved to watch soap operas, shopping and word scratch puzzles.

The daughter of the late Joseph Lee Jackson Sr. and Leona Marshall Jackson. She was born on January 17,

1941, in Dawson Georgia.

She is survived by her daughters JoAnn Barnes and husband William of Middletown; Beverly Pittman-

Johnson and husband Phillip of Maryland. Her sisters; Mary James (Nathaniel – deceased), Frankie Jackson

Brown (Arthur Dean, deceased,) Sharon Jackson Pittman (Don Jr). Her brothers; Clifford Jackson and Marvin

Jackson (Ursula – deceased) and bonus sister Virginia D. Parker, all from Georgia. Her grandchildren Darius

Barnes, Marcus Barnes, Demetrius Barnes and Hunter Johnson; great granddaughter Saniya Johnson and great

grandson Colter Barnes as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosie was predeceased by her husband Tommie J.Pittman, brothers JC Jackson, Joseph Lee Jackson Jr, and

Sister Juria Dean Jackson Hawkins.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday January 30, 2026 from 3-7 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Ave. Middletown, N.Y.

Funeral Serivces will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Pine Hill Cemetery Town of Wawayanda, N.Y.
