Russell Sniffen Sr.

Russell Sniffen Sr. of the Town of Greenville, N.Y., a former self-employed carpenter and builder and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on June 14, 2025 in Middletown, N.Y. He was 87.

The son of the late Russell and Lillian Sniffen, he was born on February 8, 1938 in Middletown, N.Y.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was the widower of the late Stella Sniffen.

Survivors include his sons Russell Sniffen Jr. of Kentucky and Jeff Sniffen and his wife Tina of Greenville, N.Y. His brothers Raymond Sniffen, Wayne Sniffen and Larry Sniffen and his sister Gloria Zukrigl and his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Christine Sniffen and grandson Kyle Pettit.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday June 18, 2025 from 5-8 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Ave. Middletown, N.Y.

Services will be held on Thursday June 19, 2025 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Westbrookville Cemetery in Westbrookville, N.Y.
