Shirley A. Fischer of Middletown, N.Y. a former school bus driver and lifelong resident of the area, passed away on August 4, 2025 in St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y. She was 73.
The daughter of the late Howard and Viola Fairweather, she was born on January 26, 1952 in Goshen, New York.
Survivors include her husband James Fischer at home. Her children Tracie Fischer; Jennifer Vousden (Joseph) and James Fischer (Cindy). Her grandchildren Nicholas Schmalzriedt (Nicole), Kayla Fischer, Patrick Vousden, Andrew Vousden, and Giuliana Fischer. Her great-grandchildren Niklas and Freya Schmalzriedt.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025 from 2-4 P.M. at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, N.Y.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday August 11, 2025 at 10 A.M. at the Wallkill Cemetery Midway Road Middletown, N.Y.
