In Loving Memory of Vicki Barone

Vicki Barone was born at Wichita Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, on December 17, 1949. She was the beloved daughter of Joan Morrison and Newton Lake, who preceded her in death and now welcome her home in heaven.

Vicki graduated from Wichita High School North, where she made many lifelong friendships. She continued her education at Bethany College in Kansas, she later earned her master's degree in art and architecture, combining her love of creativity with her passion for learning.

Before marrying the love of her life, Charles Barone, Vicki was married to Joseph Favorito, with whom she had two beloved children, Alisha and Michael. Together, Vicki and Charles built a beautiful life filled with love and stepchildren Nicholas, Vincent, Danielle and Joseph and later were blessed with their adoptive daughter, Victoria Rolnick.

Vicki was a proud grandmother to Julia, Nicholas, Andrew, Leo and Layla and many more nieces and nephews. She was also a cherished sister whose love for her family knew no bounds.

Vicki's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was an amazing wife who cared for Charles with unwavering love, compassion, and dedication. She took great pride in making sure he was always well cared for, dressed in his sharp suits and polished shoes. Their marriage was built on understanding, respect, friendship, and unconditional love.

She also took pride in caring for herself. Whether it was having her hair beautifully styled, her nails done, or putting on her makeup, Vicki carried herself with elegance and confidence. Her radiant smile and warm personality reflected the beauty she possessed both inside and out. Vicki had an electric spirit that could light up any room. Her joyous laughter was contagious, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel wanted, welcomed, and loved wherever she went. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

One of Vicki's greatest passions was art. She was an incredibly talented artist whose creativity filled her home with beauty. Her artwork adorned the walls of her house and every room, each piece reflecting her imagination, heart, and soul. Today, those works of art bring comfort to her family, making them feel close to her and reminding them that a part of her beautiful spirit remains with them always.

In her final moments, Vicki was surrounded by the love of her family. She passed peacefully, embraced by those who loved her most, and entered her eternal home in heaven. While our hearts are broken by her absence, we find peace in knowing she has been reunited with her beloved parents and now rests in God's loving embrace. Vicki's legacy is one of unconditional love, compassion, creativity, elegance, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, treasured sister, gifted artist, and loyal friend. Her beautiful spirit will continue to live on through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the artwork that forever bears the imprint of her heart.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday July 24, 2026 with a visitation from 3:00-5:00 PM followed by a Service at 5:00 PM at the Family of Faith Lutheran Church 240 Midland Lake Road Middletown, New York.  Following the Service the family invites those present to a fellowship gathering at the Church.  On Saturday July 25, 2026 at 10 A.M. -3 P.M. the Church will have an Arts and Crafts Show with all of her Art.
