William Edward Pfleging Jr.

William Edward "Bill" Pfleging Jr., 73, of Snohomish County, Washington, passed away unexpectedly of heart disease at home with his loving wife Minda on May 15, 2025. Bill was born in Middletown, NY on March 23, 1952, to the late William and Teresa (Klingman) Pfleging.

After graduating from Middletown High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves. He was honorably discharged after receiving the National Defense Service Medal in 1973.

Bill was a gifted and soulful musician who had a natural ability to connect with people. For Bill, music was more than notes and rhythm—it was a way of life, a language of love and understanding. Bill shared his talent freely and generously throughout his life.

Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Minda; his son, Gerald Pfleging and wife Rachel of Bentonville, AR; his daughter Alyssa Gorevich and husband John of Guilderland, NY; and son Steven Pfleging and wife Tracey of West Coxsackie, NY. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Callie Pfleging, Kasey Pfleging, Julia Gorevich and Caleb Pfleging; his sister, Mary Alice Boxall of Augusta, Maine; his brother, Thomas Pfleging and wife Colleen of Otisville, New York; his brother, James Pfleging and wife Jennifer of Vassalboro Maine; his longtime friend, Lenny Hayden and wife Ellen of Middletown; and many nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, and wonderful friends.

A memorial will be held by the family to honor Bill’s life and memory at Martinez Morse Funeral Home 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, N.Y.  on Saturday June 21, 2025 from 1-3P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Bill’s name.

Bill will be missed by all that knew him; he had an infectious smile and personality. He will be lovingly remembered as a man of music, heart, and love.
